Christian & his totally unphotogenic face.

This week, I had my boyfriend lovingly drop-in to visit me in sunny Bournemouth. Little did I know of his ulterior motive; to get me to take pictures of him to promote his stand-up comedy which he's been working hard at for a while now. (I don't quite know how long, but at least since he's known me which has been the best part of a year and a half now!) As much as I hate to admit it*, he's actually pretty funny - check out his YouTube Channel which has some of his comedy on there as well as some films he's made. Anyway, we went down to the AUCB studios on Monday night and started shooting only to realize that as soon as he posed infront of the camera, he has such a weird face. He'd either look incredibly creepy or extremely bored and I found myself laughing after every shot I took. NOTE: this is not how to help a model gain confidence. So after much trial and error of working out how not to make him look weird, we ended up with a few good shots.

(Shot on a Canon 400D with a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 lens and a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens)
Also, a big thankyou to Peter Dunford for the loan of his 10-20mm lens - bloody hard to get used to but it did the trick. Thankyou!

* I only hate to admitting to like his comedy because I refuse to be one of those pathetic, doting girlfriends who is constantly like "OMG CHECK OUT MY BF HE'S FRICKIN' AWESOME AT EVERYTHING".  My ex-boyfriend was in a band and not once do I ever recall telling him that they were any good. I only ever remember telling him that his band were shit. However, they weren't actually all that bad at all, I just didn't want to admit that I thought that. And similarly, I do not want to admit that I think Christian is funny because lets face it, his ego will get too big. So this is the first and last time that I will ever say it online, or anywhere to be honest - Christian is actually really funny. End of.
